From the Families

Finally able to get caught up on all the pictures and updates from our new families. Hope you enjoy seeing our babies as they grow as much as we do!

Milo

"Hi Lynda;  thought I better send a few pics of Milo..........he's a hard one to get a picture of.......when he sees a camara he stops what he's doing and come to me as if he wants a treat.   He is so good."
"I love my Milo;  he is the most adorable, happy, playful, puppy who wants to please me.  He loves to play ‘fetch’ and to lay on his back for a tummy rub   - exactly as he did shortly after birth.  He gets all twisted up like a pretzel with his head turned to one side and nearly upside down.   When he’s tired he just flops down and sleeps. Talk to you soon"    ~ Evelyn

Nalu

"Hope your summer is going well.  I know that Lori had talked to you about Nalu’s first dog visitor so I thought I would send a picture of her and Hurley.  They had a great time together.  Her favourite game was to have Hurley chase her and then she would dive into her bed.  It was so funny to watch.  I have finished the fence so Nalu can run and run she does.  Man I think she is going to wear the grass out one day.  We moved her tunnel outside and she loves to run through it, fetch etc.  We also changed her to her collar for walking and she adapted to it very nicely.  Its amazing how many milestones we have passed in the last month." ~ Stuart

Chika

"Chika is such a sweetie.  Terry is getting pictures to send of her and Bogie having a good time.  They play very well now.  Chika has met most of my family and all of Terry’s.  They are all smitten (what would you expect?). She is so gentle and sweet natured.
She goes for a couple of walks everyday and is using the piddle pads or outdoors reliably (mostly).  Or maybe she just has Terry trained.  Terry has trained her to “walk” for her treat.  So she gets up on her back feet and “walks”.  What a cutie.
As you can tell we are still infatuated with our new family member." ~ Terry & Susan

Amiga

"We are enjoying Miga so much it's silly! So playful and friendly. Super smart learned the "come game" in minutes and is repeating it with family and staff calling her name .Also pretty reliable fetch even out doors at a fair distance. That clicker is Divine!
Miga has figured out how to get her own toys out of the toy box and haul them all back to her bed!!! So funny!! also a few pix snugging with Brian in the screen room at the lake. The one looks like" hard rock Miga" the 5th member of Motley Crue!"
"Loving my puppy sooooo much Lynda it ridiculous! "
"We are so happy with our little Miga. She delights all that meet her with her friendliness, playfulness and with how smart and well mannered she is.Everybody comments on how soft she is:o) When she meets/greets somebody she practically wags herself in half, those little hips are just a wiggling. Plus I think my,LBD, little baby dog (no longer just for little black dress) is the cutest puppy I've ever seen (no bias at all;o)" ~ Lauretta

Ahi

Off to another breeder's so very few pictures were taken of this boy. However he's home again and we'll get some posted.

Eleven Week Photos from the Families

I keep saying how blessed we are to have wonderful families adopting our puppies and here is more proof of that fact.  Each family has sent pictures of their puppy to show us how happy their little one is in their new home. Here are our puppies at 11 weeks:

Awwww....

Nate and Nalu having a play!
My thanks to my extended families for sending us the lovely pictures!!

Milo at 11 weeks

As of June 12th, all the puppies had joined their new families with the exception of Milo.

Evelyn had an opportunity to tour Europe and we agreed to keep Milo with us until her return on the 25th of June. So we have had the pleasure of playing with our boy Milo.

There are certainly advantages to keeping a puppy longer :-)  He's taken out and socialized more, is leashed trained, better house and outside trained, spoiled.....hehe   We're glad to have him as the other four puppies left so close together it made our house too quiet. I sure fixed that!!

I bought a set of bongo drums and have been teaching my dogs to play. It's coming along really well and Milo has decided that he too wants to play!!

He's so funny as he'll climb up onto the bongo's with all four feet. Have I ever mentioned that Havanese will do ANYTHING for a treat??? <VBG>

Enjoy your holiday Evelyn and we'll see you soon!!

Nalu Goes home

As a breeder of show quality dogs, it's often necessary that adopting families give us their second choice just in case their first selection goes to a show home. It was this way for the Peters family.

However it makes me wonder how destiny seems to have it's own path.

Nalu was Lori's first choice as she fell in love with the gorgeous little girl who snuggled in on their first meeting. Then the desire to have the new puppy's name begin with the letter 'N' to be consistent with Noah and Nate meant Nalu would keep her temporary name. So when our breeder decided to take 'pick of the litter' and the Peter's family's first choice, it was Nalu that went to join the Peters family.

It was important that I gave Nalu the same opportunity to have her 'one-on-one' time, so off to work she went with me for a couple of days. Such a wonderful traveler that adapted to new situations so quickly.

Squished into the small, soft-sided travel crate :-)

Then on Sunday the 12th of June, it was Nalu's turn for another bath and fluff to look good for her new family!

Unimpressed with this whole process...hehe
Aren't I gorgeous Mom?
Nalu has gone to Leduc to join her new family and may also grace the show ring as she also has incredible structure, temperament and PERSONALITY!!  I knew that this little clown would shine once her larger siblings weren't around :-)

Stuart, Lori, Nate & Noah with Nalu

I'm certain that she'll bring years of entertainment, happiness and love to Stuart, Lori, Noah and Nate. Thank you for giving our special girl such a loving and wonderful home. She's truly very lucky to have you!!

Seda N Pixc Island Phoenix - 'Ahi'

At 10 weeks of age, it was apparent that Ahi was destined for greater things.

The show stack
As part of my agreement, I send 'soaped' pictures of all the puppies to my breeder and Ahi was the puppy chosen to continue on the line. It's with mixed feelings as there was a wonderful family hoping to adopt him, but also we have great pride that he shall be presented to the show world and possibly pass on his incredible structure, temperament and color to future offspring.

Excellent fronts and head structure

wither to chest measurements = elbow to ground / excellent topline, chest and more!!

'U' rear - fabulous!

So very balanced! A very desirable structure!

Ahi left on June 10th. We wish him the very best and hope to see him soon!!
